I worked with the client - Leesa Scott - to create a logo for their company that draws up health plans for companies. Initially, we were thinking of something with a dancer or a tree, but when I was creating thumbnails, I came up with this flower design. The color palette was chosen by the client. I created the petals for the design in Inkscape, a free vector design program.

Below are the designs we also tried, but ultimately decided the above design was best.

The dancer I created using a ballerina vector as a reference and Inkscape. I then used Photoshop to place the gradient over my vector image. Her arms created the W. The client wasn't drawn to it, and I felt that the W didn't read as well as I wanted it to. 

The tree was created in Inkscape as well, based off of my initial sketch of the tree. While it read well, it wasn't the style we were looking for. It was a fun design, but we needed something that looked more corporate and professional than fun and whimsical.
