This photo series is the beginning of a set of experiments that explore the most flattering way to light black people of all different shades. I wanted to take into account the way skin reacts to different types of light, what colors compliment each person's skin tones, and how to preserve the detail in natural hair textures.This series will be continued in an effort to cover a broader range of skin tones and to refine the technique.
