Shinsheng New Energy is a local solar provider in Zhejiang, China. It provides the scale, expertise and backing to help both businesses and consumers get the best solar experience.
With its local business prospering, Xinsheng is moving to the next step of expanding nationwide. Therefore, it looks to build up a more up-to-date and professional brand image. The previous visual identity was old-fashioned from the aesthetic point of view, and the meaning of the logo was vague.
I combined the company’s business and its name in Chinese to form the new mark, incorporating a sun and a house with the character 升, emphasizing the notion of solar energy. I re-named the company’s English name from its original, Xinsheng, to Shinsheng, which is easier for English speakers to pronounce. The second H in the letterform was tweaked to resemble the character 升, one of the characters from the Chinese name.
