As a poster series to promote the negative dialogue surrounding victim blaming in rape culture, this project is a pastiche of the Art Nouveau poster designer Alphonse Mucha. Utilizing a more modern take on the imagery used in the original posters, and re-creating the imagery through digital collage, illustration, and painting, I created a series of four posters based on four of the common ideas associated with victim blaming in modern day rape culture. The posters were based off of original compositions, and feature a juxtaposition through traditionally beautiful imagery and style against a horrid subject.
