Art Direction: Up-cycle Sale

The Up-cycle sale was the third event that needed branding for Truman State University's Freak Week. More than any other design, this one needed t be clean. Because not only were we trying to sell an image... we were trying to sell things at no cost to us. The only thing we needed to create from scratch for this sale was the logo itself. Again by Wes Harbison. 
Wes offered the saturated and unsaturated versions, and we agreed that both had their appeal. Of curse we bet in the middle. 
The starburst was one thing, but to add the spot light to the center really HIGHLIGHTED the concept of the 'bright idea'. Because what does it take to turn nothing into something? A bright idea.
