Individual Material Study #1
The main idea of this study was to combine imagery to make a piece to show my favorite place. For my favorite place I chose my home which is Canton, Ohio. I edited maps to make different values of black and white, and then collaged them in the shape of the city. I wanted to add a third dimension to my piece, so I placed screws in each endpoint and outlined the whole thing with a white string.
The Process:
I started out by brainstorming and writing out my ideas. I then got to work measuring, and pasting down the maps.
