Individual Material Study #2
The main idea of this study was to find ideation through paint. I put paint on paper, and let that inspire me to what I was going to create. I started with no goals in mind, except to explore three different color palettes all with one unifying color, gold. I ripped large painted papers into sections and crumpled them together into groups. I mounted them onto a board with the same gold texture pattern to create a relief sculpture.
The Process:
I started out by applying completely random brush strokes to paper. My paint strokes created a rough and messy texture, and it inspired me to give the actual paper texture that would match the appearance of the paint.
