Last Night Story (Animate Sound) is a sound visualizing project that uses geometric shapes and their movement to visualize the music. The song used as a background music is a remade version of famous K-pop in the 80s. Since the music itself contains both retro and modern feels to it, I decided to adopt that into my design. Some core elements are very modern and geometric yet some color palette and transition into 3D space gives the retro vibe to the video.
These gifs are the core "modern" geometric elements that leads the overall video. Yet, still contains the retro feel to it.
Morphing shapes are one of the many elements that give more variation to the video. As the video gets into the second phase, the backspace opens up and becomes the retro 3D space.
