‘Brain Machine’ is an experimental, single issue magazine that is designed to explore the co-existence of humans and artificial intelligence. This man & machine relationship is built on various levels throughout the publication; [1] a series of trigger words that when spoken out loud produce a corresponding image or piece of motion on screen [2] an algorithm that took visual assets created by the designer and created a series of page layouts based on a set of rules put in place [3] all visuals that appear within the publication were treated in a very analogue, hands on manner, be it cutting or manually scanned etc then manipulated digitally.
