A client asked me to redesign a brand of cigarettes called Ta2 (Ta2 means Tattoo). The project consisted of two parts: an almost completely new design and a variation on the existing design.

The sun and the moon are symbols of day and night, light and dark, white and black. These two symbols correspond with the two main types of cigarettes of this brand – black and white. As main graphic elements

I created the images of the moon and the sun in a tribal tattoo style.

For the second variation I complied with the request of the client to present an idea that is similar to the present design of the package. I used the same basic graphics elements as in the original design added by some additional elements.

After having presented a number of alternative options with regard to the colors of the logo, tattoo elements and backgrounds, the client eventually selected this version.
