This project was asked to find three articles from each of the three parts from one of the issue in the newspaper, and to extract inspirational content as inspiration for this project.
I read an article in the newspaper about buying and fixing a mansion, and the
following are some of the statements in the text: “Since mid-2017 crews have been working to restore the home to its original grandeur, uncovering details that have been hidden for decades, including ornate plaster ceilings, intricately designed door hinges and bronze details that have been hidden by paint.” “We started on the exterior to get it perfected back to its original condition and so now we’re completing that phase of it. We’ll start over on the landscaping and that will be totally redone.” “(Wallin) did some of Savannah’s best buildings and many of them have been lost.” “We worked meticulously with masonry restoration experts on restoring this glazed brick properly in accordance with the Interior Standards for Historic Preservation to really bring back what it looked like originally,” According to the contents, I found that all of these contents reflect the
phenomenon that people only know to cherish when they have lost something, and still have others do not realize that things are changing. For example, on transforming and restoring the historic houses, when a large number of old houses were demolished and refurbished during the period that people demolished it, people may think it is a trend that will bring greater benefits. However, when there are only a handful of historic houses
left in the entire city, its preciousness can be found and recovered.

Another article concerns the uses of art auctions to raise funds to protect
endangered whales, and here are some of the statements in the text:
"Also also to raise awareness about the most endangered large marine
mammal on the planet." 'Gonna, what can we do about it?' The first step in that is to raise
awareness. If nobody knows about the species, nobody is going to care
enough to take action if there's action to be taken. " "I come from the position of saying, 'Let's be proactive, do not wait,'" says Bennett-Martin. "If we do not turn around the trajectory that we're on, we will not have any more reproductive- age females left in 23 years. " "I believe art's most important role is to document our present moment, act
as a first warning to oncoming disaster, and create social change,” For the protection of whales, when they are still abundant, people simply do not think about protecting them, just like the resources and the environment on our planet. But if they can see the process of these things changing, just like the second hand, I think people will begin to cherish everything because they are changing, disappearing and have been affecting us.

Also there is a classified ad in the newspaper I have read: “Historic gem in downtown Savannah with pool!” This is an ad for a historic garden level apartment in modern amenities in Savannah. From the ads we can see that businesses are taking "history" as an advertisement to attract people's attention, indicating that people will be interested in historic buildings, the historic building is valuable today.

As the global warming continues, almost all of the glaciers mountain the world are now melting, many of them quite rapidly, because of that, oceans may rise between one and two meters by the year of 2100. This will have an huge impact on the future of many major cities which could simply disappear under water. According to the survey, I found that almost everyone knew the fact that global warming is causing sea level rise, but they did not know that would happen in 2100 and probably inundate a few in Europe historic city. Even so, some people still think that the disappearance of these cities has nothing to do with them. But what if it disappears into the most prosperous city in their country, what if it disappears into the cities where they live in. I think they will be lost in thought. If these unique cities disappear on earth, the consequences will be irreparable. So we have to make most of these people aware and act, as we are getting closer and closer to the year of 2100.

By helping people see global warming continues, and make people realize
and begin to value the cities that are disappearing right now. I made this
candle book to seal the humanities and landscapes of these cities in a
transparent candle. When the candle gradually burns, it will also symbolize
the warming temperature of the climate. The cities will be extinguished with
the burning of the candle and passed. This design will reminds people that
our homes are influenced by our actions.
