This project was completed for the Motion Graphics class with Kiel Mutschelknaus at the Maryland Institute College of Art, following the prompt of having to develop a cinematic title sequence for a book. The actors credits, directors credits, producers credits etc. would be substituted by the characters in the book and the author.
Seveneves is a piece of speculative science fiction pondering humanity’s response to inevitable annihilation. The premise of the plot is that the moon has inexplicably split apart and its various pieces will plummet to earth, essentially ending the human race after the course of a few years. The book has a grand scope, pursuing such themes as technology, perseverance, societal disintegration and the human condition.
