Um film-portrait do renomado antropólogo brasileiro Roque de Barros Laraia, As Maiores Venturas vai costurando, ao longo dos 80 anos de sua história, também as trajetórias do Departamento de Antropologia da Universidade de Brasília (DAN/UnB) e da própria antropologia no Brasil.
O documentário foi realizado especialmente para compor as comemorações de 40 anos do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia Social (PPGAS - DAN/UnB), contando com apoio financeiro da Comissão UnB 50 Anos.

A film-portrait of the renowed Brazilian anthropologist Roque de Barros Laraia, As Maiores Venturas brings together, along with his 80 years, the histories of the Department of Anthropology of the University of Brasilia (DAN/UnB) and of anthropology in Brazil itself.
This documentary was made specially to integrate the celebration events due the 40th anniversary of the post-graduate program of the Department of Anthropology of the University of Brasilia (PPGAS - DAN/UnB), and has been funded by the commision for the 50th anniversary of the University of Brasilia.
