Ron Swanson Political Campaign

For this project I was instructed to create pieces of a graphic campaign for a fictional character's political campaign of my choosing. I chose Nick Offerman's "Parks and Recreation" character Ron Swanson. I was to create a logo to be used in his political campaign, along with a campaign poster, postcard mailer, and branding guide.
The purpose of the branding guide is to give the reader an understanding of common design parlance, the concept and origin of the logo design, and how to properly use the logo to it's full potential.
For the campaign poster I wanted a strong image that would reflect the style of his political background and have an overtly American presence. His outfit and appearance in the poster was inspired by the Minutemen of the Revolutionary War. When writing the copy for the poster I tried to imagine something that would hold true to the beliefs of the character. I also felt the opening quote was appropriate and worked well to reinforce the tone that I had laid out in the copy.
For the postcard I wanted something that would catch the reader's eye while both looking professional and remaining true to character and theme. The line on the front is a direct quote from the show and the information on the back was taken from my poster copy.
