For this project, we were instructed to make a ray gun of any kind. Instead of producing a ray gun that caused mass destruction or shot out something that had been seen many times before, I decided to make a ray gun that made adults become like babies. The ray gun had three different settings: 1) sleeping like a baby, 2) crying like a baby, 3) messing themselves like a baby. My original idea was to use the ray gun to turn the adults into babies but the idea has evolved since then.
One of the reason I chose a pastel color palette was because infants normally relate to pastel colors. I also wanted the gun to have a rattle shape. The overall appearance and styling of the gun was inspired to me from 1950s space guns or retro animated guns featured in old cartoons.
