Dati dei testi informativi forniti dall’Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, il compito era quello di renderli graficamente e visivamente più piacevoli, per rendere il fruitore più predisposto all’entrare in contatto con argomenti il più delle volte ritenuti scomodi e tristi.
Si è così operato per rendere più chiare le informazioni, lavorando su richiami cromatici. L’utilizzo dei colori è stato volutamente impostato su tinte allegre, comunemente ritenute allegre. Chiamandosi, poi, la collana “Manuali di Ulisse” si è scelto di creare un apposito logo che richiamasse le imbarcazioni trireme antiche, una barchetta che si trova in copertina e all’interno del testo, quasi essa guidasse il lettore nelle sezioni del libricino.

Given some informative texts provided by the National Institute for Tumors, the task was to make them graphically and visually more pleasant, in order to make the user more predisposed to come in contact with arguments usually considered as uncomfortable and sad ones. So, we have operated on making information clearer, working on chromatic recalls. The use of colors has been deliberately arranged on bright paints, commonly deemed as happy ones. Then, as the name of the book series was “Ulysses’ manuals”, we have chosen to create a proper logo recalling the ancient trireme boats, a small boat that can be found in the cover and inside the text, as if it guides the reader into the sections of the little book.
