With vibrant nightlife and crazy drinking culture, binge drinking is a serious issue in Berlin.
Adidas has therefore decided to replace ‘drunk with dunk’ by launching the Offene Bar, which means ‘open bar’ in German.

As stated in the name anyone and everyone will have access to an open bar with free drinks in exchange for some sweat. The Offene Bar will be rigged with in-house sports activities like soccer, basketball, etc.

Participants earn points when they take part in the sporting activities provided, the points are then stored on their Adidas drinking card and can be later exchanged for either drinks at the bar or official Adidas merchandise.

In order to create hype for the Offene Bar, Adidas will run competitions in their bars where the prize is a meet and greet with brand ambassadors such as
Lionel Messi.

With the creation of the new Offene Bar, Adidas plans to help the local community by reducing drinking and encourage exercise among the locals. This will not only allow for a healthier community but also cause a decrease in drunk violence, public indecency, destruction of property, public disturbance, etc.

This will be hugely beneficial to Berlin's community as it will have an increase on overall productivity, personal health, cleaner living environments, safer communities,  lower stress levels and medical risks.

Further benefits include the survival of Berlin's historical parking area that was set up for demolition until Adidas decided to repurpose it as the home base of the first ever Offene Bar.
