An illustration of the old school rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. A drawing done completely using the brush tool in Adobe Illustrator, only using a mouse. All coloring was also done by hand to ensure quality of work. The image of Biggie Smalls was placed on a horizontal 8.5x11'' sheet, then a new layer was made above it. On this layer I used a black brush and traced around the key features, the eyes, nose, lips, eyebrows, and face outline. Then with a smaller black brush I added the implied lines, the wrinkles and nose/chin shapes. This same smaller brush was used on the crown as well to emphasis the details of the crown. A layer was then made below the black lines, and the eyedropper tool was used to get the exact skin tones and crown colors. The color was done on the layer below the line layer, which made the color lines line up perfectly with the black detail lines.
