Abigail is an 8yr old leukemia fighter. Here is her story:

“It all started October 11 2015.

Abigail has always been very active, but everything changed when she got diagnosed with leukemia. She had to stop going to school, but the hair loss was the hardest part. Not able to see her friends from school was also devastating. We spent the first 2 weeks after her diagnosis in the hospital.

As a parent when you are told that your kid has leukemia changes your world. Everything stops. Her mom had to quit her job to stay with her all the time, while I had to get a second job. Yet that wasn’t the hardest part.

In that time she had to get use to not going outside to play anymore, so we had to find something else to keep her busy, that’s when we turned her old room into a art studio. She learned how to draw and paint.

To make her feel better she also started making bracelets with beads, that’s how we spent most of the time in the hospital.
We had really hard time with her blood counts and needed a lot of transfusions so we went back to the hospital like 2 times per month and sometimes we had to be there for up to a month at the time. She is such a strong kid that always has a positive attitude and always smiles.”❤️❤️❤️ She loves everything that has to do with art.”
