Explaining new things to someone in an understandable way is a challenge. Doing that not in person, but through visuals presents its own difficulties. In this assignment, this is what we did. We took questions of the "How to..." nature and made instructional illustrations for them.
Process

First we chose topics that we found interesting and novel. Such as "How to break a coconut?" or "How to tell if an egg is rotten?". Then we made a storyboard of all the steps involved to do that activity.

After that we made our friends model for us and took photographs. The approach towards photography was formal. Taking a proper representational pose, proper angles and framing were stressed on.

Then came illustration, which was done by tracing over the image, and finally the annotation, which is as important as the image in explaining the activity. In few places, I tried "Wordless Diagrams", following in the footsteps of Nigel Holmes.
