This photo came about when my office starting building a photo library of images taken around Santa Rosa County. The Navarre Beach Pier is the longest pier in the Gulf of Mexico and very popular with residents and visitors alike. I wanted to not only show off the pier, but our beautiful Navarre Beach as well. This picture was taken during the summer when the emerald waters and sugar white sand seem so much more vibrant. I chose to take the photo at sunset because I felt it created a more relaxed feel. You can also see people in the photograph settling down to take in the sunset.

We used this photo on social media (particularly Facebook) to promote the beauty that can be found in Santa Rosa County. We like to say we are a great place to live, work and play! The photo was a big hit with residents and visitors. I used Adobe Lightroom to do some initial editing on the photo and then brought it in to Photoshop to do some targeted editing to really make the colors in the photo pop.
