Fragments of Bournemouth

This project explores and questions the sense of value through the power of package design,
by packaging and selling a superfluous commodity. A superfluous commodity is a product that is unnecessary or needless.

This project began by the interest in the quality of honesty, with honesty being only known or experienced,
researching that honesty is a trait of being genuine. Led to the discovery that the act of being genuine holds an important role in visual communication and can be manipulated through the use of social semiotics in package design. Due to this,
the project questioned the sense of judgement and value through the exploration of package design, by selling a superfluous commodity from Bournemouth Beach.
