Disconnection

My name is Gijs van de Veerdonk and I am a photography student from The Netherlands, Always trying to express my emotions, concernes and joy trough-out photography.  

This is a series of photographs about a girl named Emma, I tried to capture her struggle of today's world. She is very young and feels a lot of pressure to always be connected, and always be on her phone. A problem that seems to be spread through out the world. I tried to convey this message to my viewer by disconnecting her and putting her back into nature. Emma was a very special girl to work with and I am honoured to tell you her story visually.
