Light Up Pride: parade after party in Boston, Massachusetts.
Boston is extremely proud of it's heritage, and part of that heritage is having the oldest Pride Parade in the country. Every year, the city throws a huge parade to celebrate inclusivity, and there are large after parties throughout the city where people celebrate well into the night.
When designing this poster, I chose to pay homage to the year the parade was founded, 1970. I hand lettered the type for both the word "Pride" and the times at the bottom of the poster in the distinct, funky style of that era, while still making sure it fit with the host company's branding.
The poster was printed on natural paper and given to the public as gifts during the event.
