MAKING OF THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA HOME
Final render by Bálint Gódor
SETTINGS / FIRST STEPS
This project is the result of my own practice session. I only had some references (Northern California home by Arcanum Architecture) for this work from deezen.com. I've set the units to centimeters - as always. My first step was the modeling in 3dsMax, except for the vegetation  -  I have used 2-3 treemodels for this scene from Maxtree Packs (with Corona Scatter and Proxy) because my computer hardware is not a power station.

After modeling I have imported the main reference photo into the viewport and then matched the camera with the scene. You can find this feature in Max (Utilites - Perspective Match.)

LIGHTING
For lighting I have used HDRI (from hdrlabs.com) and Corona Sun. For interior lighting I have used Corona lights, which are really great, because you can also modify them later.
The scene in the viewport
The sky background is just an image on a cylinder, nothing special.

SCATTERING WITH CORONA SCATTER
I have used Corona Scatter to scatter the pebbles and grass in the scene. It's a remarkable tool.
MATERIALS
I have used some built-in Corona materials, but I have made the most of them manually.
RENDER SETTINGS AND RENDER ELEMENTS
I have used basic render settings. I have only set the final resolution (4K) and added some render elements (Reflection, Color ID, BloomGlare, CTexmap and light maps.) My expected noise level was 2,5% and I have set up the Denoising at 10%. I had enough time to render...
POST PRODUCTION
After rendering, came the turn of post production. I could correct lights and colors of the project due to the many parts of the render elements.
