The Drakensberg, South Africa, is a magical place of extreme weather conditions, brilliant flora and fauna, and very little light pollution. It was the perfect place to go on an adventure to to attempt to capture some awe inspiring night-scapes or astrophotography. Next time I will attempt a star trail.

The most difficult thing about capturing this image was the trial and error in getting the mountain range in focus. My 35mm F1.8 Nikkor doesn't have an infinity ring so I had to make small increments on the manual focus.
