This project was created to announce and invite people in search for adventure and wander to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the national parks by experiencing the great MacGillivray Freeman film sustained by OMSI. Immersive IMAX 3D cinematography takes viewers soaring over red rock canyons, hurtling up craggy mountain peaks and into other-worldly realms found within America’s most legendary outdoor playgrounds, including Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Yosemite, the Everglades and Arches. The postcards illustrate three of the national parks: Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, and Yosemite, in three different moments of the day, sunrise, noon and towards sunset, drawn in an organic and stylized way. The wavy lines and the color combination represent the 3D aspect of the film.
