Crisalide parla della trasformazione introspettiva.
Per rappresentare il raccoglimento, ho usato la metafora del bruco
che si rinchiude nella crisalide per trasformarsi in farfalla. Il libro è
il risultato del viaggio introspettivo attraverso la poesia e l'immagine.
Chrysalis talks about the introspective transformation.
In order to represent the meditation, I used the metaphor of the caterpillar
that withdraws itself in the chrysalis to become a butterfly. The book
is the result of an introspective journey through poetry and image.

“Il sonno della ragione

Crisalide è il sonno della Bella Addormentata. Mi resi conto, riordinando le
poesie, dell'importanza della fiaba e di come fosse metaforicamente collegata
con la trasformazione del bruco in farfalla (intuizione guidata dalla rilettura
del "Il mondo incantato" di Bettelheim e "Morfologia della fiaba" di Vladimir Propp).
Riprendere le fiabe mi diede la possibilità di affacciarmi al mondo delle strutture
narrative. "Inciampai" dapprima in ”The writer's Journey" di Christopher Vogler e, in seguito,
ampliai lo studio attraverso l'analisi antropologica dell' “Eroe dai mille Volti” di Campbell.
Scartai così l'idea di ordinare le poesie in ordine cronologico e tematiche.

Seguendo le tappe del viaggio dell'Eroe, ho impostato il libro:
ogni raccolta e poesia ha il nome della tappa vissuta.

Chrysalis is the dream of the Sleeping Beauty. I realized, rearranging poems, the

It was so important retaking the tales: they show me the narrative structure's world.
I "stumbled" first into the "The writer's journey" of Christopher Vogler and then I increased
the studies with the antropological analysis of the book "The Hero with Thousand faces" by
Joseph Campbell. I discarded the idea of ordering the poems in chronological and thematic order.

Following the phases of the hero's journey, I sketched out the book:
every collections and poems had the name of its own lived phase.

Tutto parte dallo studio della psicologia analitica di Jung, con le sue intuizioni
sugli archetipi (vd "Simboli della Trasformazione") e sul simbolo. Lo studio dei simboli
mi aiutò ad organizzare la composizione della tavola, dal soggetto allo sfondo.
Il progetto completo è stato opera di tesi specialistica. Per velocizzare il lavoro,
ho colorato le tavole in digitale, ma il libro è pensato in acrilico.

Everything starts from the study of analytical psychology by Jung,
with his insights on archetypes (see "Symbols of Transformation") and
on the symbol. The study of symbols helped me to organize the
composition of the pictures from the subject to the background.
The complete project was the work for the master thesis. To speed up
the work, I coloured the works digitally, but the book was thought up in acrylic.
