Although my face is covered, I’m accepting my body and myself. My insecurities still show through and yet I looked silent and peaceful, but my body language speaks volumes. I learn to love myself impeccably and to think of me quite phenomenally.
Acceptance is a collection of photographs created with a Nikon D3000 digital camera. I’ve decided to use four female models with similar body types and to make them topless, expressing their sense of feminism and that there comfortable with their body. I chose to put light fabric around their faces to capture their insecure moment but in a beautiful way with a slight impression of their faces. I chose to print my collection 13’’X19’’ to really exaggerate the volumes my photographs are speaking.
Different feminist photographers and artworks inspire my collection, which allowed me to really push myself and take this project to next the level. I allowed myself to really sit down and think of what I really want to capture and what I want the viewers to see. I realized that my collection may have many viewpoints, but mines are accepting one self.
