The Sustainable Streetscape Division of Chicago’s Department of Transportation (CDOT) planned
and built an experimental, demonstration streetscape not far from downtown Chicago. The purpose
of the project was to illustrate ways in which the materials and methodologies used in constructing
urban streetscapes could be made more sustainable. In order to tell this story, we were hired to design solar-powered lighting, banners along the 1 1/2 mile streetscape, interpretive graphics at key points
as well as a walking-tour brochure for the public.

We were hired by the Oak Brook Park District to create a comprehensive wayfinding, informational and interpretive signage system throughout their main headquarters and campus.
The challenge here for us was to design, build and install, on a very low budget, exhibits that
chronicled the history of nursing students, their teachers and nursing education at this medical center
and its three predecessors. The project was to serve as a template for future exhibits throughout
the five floors of the new Rush hospital building.
