To improve pediatric cancer research efforts across the globe, the hospital recently launched St. Jude Cloud in collaboration with DNAnexus and Microsoft. This platform provides whole-genome sequencing sets of data from three different research cohorts, which totals to more than 4,000 DNA maps. In addition, St. Jude Cloud includes key analysis tools that researchers can use to move their own projects forward.
The St. Jude team believes that making this data public to other researchers will help bring about an earlier end to childhood cancer. The hospital has worked on understanding the relationship between genomes and pediatric cancer development for a decade and will continue to make new data available through the platform to create a more collaborative environment among researchers around the globe.
