A pop-up book created by the use of a laser cutting machine. It features a poem I wrote describing my experience of shedding my Bengali culture to fit into my Western environment and uses imagery from Lewis Carroll's Alice Through the Looking Glass. This came out of a lot failed attempts at combining islamic imagery with the the fairy-tale aspects of Alice in Wonderland and they felt very impersonal. So I decided to just create this piece and based it on my own experience of clashing cultures and identity.
