VARIETY PLAYHOUSE LOGO
Variety Playhouse is one of the best places to see live music in Atlanta. They've been making noise in Little 5 Points under the "Variety Playhouse" name since 1990, but their history stretches back to 1940, when it was built as a movie theater called "The Euclid Theater". More about that history here, because - you know - it matters with a logo redesign.
As Variety underwent a full-scale renovation, I redesigned their logo, keeping it true to their integral place in the fabric of the Atlanta music scene. The badge shape and light bulbs are a nod to the original logo. The type invites a historic look into a clean modern framework. Context is key - the logo variations are designed with poster, social and web use in mind.

Icon Exploration Highlights
It was an honor to redesign the logo for such an icon in Atlanta's music scene. I'm thankful to the team at Variety Playhouse for asking me to work on such a precious brand.
