Andaman , the surreal colors

A plethora of things could be read and heard about the Andaman and Nicobar islands, but no description seems adequate enough to show or explain what this island is like. It is definitely a land of surreal colors, landscapes no less than paintings, ever changing with every passing minute. I have always been amused by the colors produced by the sunrise and sunsets, drowning each individual in a natural ambiance, especially during the soft mornings and evening lights. Down below you can see the golden mist rising, and the closer I went the further it moved.
a few more shots of the sunset are at the end of the project.
I have been to other coastal areas in the country; however, this region seems unmatched in its’ vibrancy, as expressed by the spectrum of colors as day turns to night.
Andaman has a remarkable history be it in terms of natural history or our very own freedom struggle. Flying over the vast ocean one realizes how far off this small piece of land is and how unconnected the people were in the olden times. It was the ultimate end for prisoners of war - anyone held in captivity here could never imagine their escape.
When you hear the stories and listen to the struggle at the light and sound show presented in the cellular jail here, you will not fail to miss being a part of the amazing human history this island holds.

The various islands apart from port blair are so different from one another. I was walking on this beach when someone crossing me told me this tree was called ‘wish-tree’,  and although I can not recollect what wish I made, the three definitely made a pleasing frame.
Found Nemo.
The island seemed self surviving, so it is no wonder that one of the world’s oldest tribes still has not changed much living there. Not a single crop grown is wasted. But of course, plastic plays an imminent role in weakening this already fragile ecosystem. While taking a stroll on one of its’ sandy beaches, one of the locals showed me plastic bottles floating all the way from Thailand to our shores. The hotel waste is also seen at most visited beaches. It made me wonder if we would ever be able to save this piece of paradise. The chap above made hats from those leaves.
This is what they call aqua green , being underwater  made me feel like i was in a huge aquarium myself.
Activities around Radhanagar beach, lucky enough to see the sky burning .
And we called it a day.
