Monument Series:

Materials: Paper, charcoal, sand paper, acryclic, twine, glue and dirt.

These two are selections from a larger series of works representative of a family portrait. 
Untitled:
Materials: Soap casts, my 5-year-borrowed sweater, bronze casts, copper wire, ceramic shell, wood, plaster, white bed sheets and twine. 
Portable Fence:
6ft X 7ft.
Materials: wood, white paint, rope, bed sheets, twine, bricks and metal hinges. 
Bed:
7ft X 3.5ft 
Materials: notebook paper, ink, wax, 5 white v-neck t-shirts, twine and found bed frames. 
In Memory of Hella and Alfred:
 
One installation of a series commemorating my great grandparents. 
 
Performance Description: 
1. The two artists unfold the folded blanket, revealing a bed with pillows. 
2. Two patches with the names Hella and Alfred, respectively, are then sewn onto the front of the pillows. 
3. The male artist starts to play audio, while the female artists steps in front of the bed, stands on her toes, and presses her face against the pillow with the name Hella. 
4. The male artist follows, presses his face against the pillow with the name Alfred, and holds the hand of the other artist. 

The audio plays for the entire duration of the performance. 

5. The two artists hold hands and stand on their toes as the audio plays. 
6. After nine minutes, the male artist lets go of the female artist's hand and walks out of the room. 
7. The female artist reaches her arm out to the empty space of the bed. 
8. The female artist leaves the room. 
 
Audio Description: 
 
The audio is a looped speech by David Hanauer, my father, commemorating the death of his grandparents in the holocaust. The audio gets progressively heavier with echo, reverb, and distortions until the speech is no longer heard.

Materials: letters from my great grandparents, wood from the wall of my Pittsburgh home, fabric from my Tel-Aviv home, photo transfer from my Baltimore home, my mother's weaving, soap casts, broze casts, ceramic shell, charcoal, paint, paper and nails.
