Since the first atomic bomb was dropped in WW2, killing 135 000 people, there has been an explosive increase in the number of nuclear weapons being produced worldwide. The size of today's nuclear weapons, now called Hydrogen bombs, are also ten times more powerful than those dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
This data visualisation was designed to create awareness about the development of nuclear weapons, nuclear weapon testing and the struggle to disarm all nuclear weapons worldwide.
