Description

Black women are continuously erased from society and history despite the vast contributions that they make. This film explores how the everyday young black woman navigates this erasure and reclaims her space in this world. Turning to the relationship between these young women and the influential matriarchs in their lives, as sites of affirmation, empowerment, understanding, and most importantly as sites that have equipped them to counter this erasure. In the end proclaiming the presence of these women and honoring their matriarchs, giving them their flowers while they are alive.
