The Aristocracy - Soundscape
This soundscape illustrates the life of a female aristocrat. It commences in a reading room, with the fire crackling and the rain hitting the windows. As the church bells begin to chime, she excuses herself and leaves. Being a Lady, she isn't allowed to walk alone and is escorted to her carriage. During her journey, she passes a group of peasants and imagines her life as one of theirs; without the duty to uphold a superficial image for her family name.
This soundscape was created in Premier Pro. I used a mixture of both available sounds online as well as my own recordings. I played with both volume and pitch to create a sense of journey starting indoors, then moving outdoors. For example, the change of rain or the sound of the church bells.
