Made in New Jersey
Here is a project I made in my junior year where i branded the packages for three fictional beers, each based off of a different singer/musician/band from the Great Garden State, made by a fictional brewery based in my hometown of Jackson, NJ.
1. The Stone Pilsner (Bruce Springsteen) - The classic New Jersey musician, with his E-Street band Bruce sings about New Jersey, the working class and
America- and is admired by many for it.
2. Starswinger Lager (Frank Sinatra) - Although much of his fame came from New York, Frank Sinatra was born and raised in Hoboken, NJ.
3. Annie's Ale (Streetlight Manifesto) - Probably unknown to many, the 7-piece punk/ska/jazz group Streetlight Manifesto is my own favorite band, also NJ based of course.
The Suburban Tiger Brewery
This is the name i gave to my fictional brewery who supposedly brews the beer i have labeled. In the 2000's, the combination of the tigers in our hometown's theme park Six Flags Great Adventure and of the tigers a woman owned in our town, we had the highest tiger concentration per square mile IN THE WORLD. When one escaped into our woods, neither party claimed it was theirs, and it was shot.
The woman and her tigers are long gone, but a few years later Six Flags built the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world and a whole new park section for it- with the sole theme being about tigers. Strange for a park based off of super heroes and looney tunes, i thought. We may never know what really happened, but the mystery of it lives on- in tale and in my logo.
