It is an ongoing longterm personal portrait photography project, that was born several years ago while on assignment for a book of interviews. The idea of the project is to show my impression of the people I am portraying. Culturally, politically or spiritually significant people usually have little-to-no time for photoshoots, so generally I do not have a real opportunity to get to know them, so the basis of the portrait is usually either a first impression, or a preconception, created by persons works. Thus, each portrait becomes more of a documentation of the meeting and the feeling it brought to me, than a factual representation of a persons appearance.
