As a former member of STUBINEN a student society at Linköping university who shows movies, I got the opportunity to create the poster for their showing of Kubo and the two strings. This was really fun as I challenged myself to create a more detailed illustration than I normally do.
I wanted to create a representation of story created by the main character Kubo and his music which you can see in my initial sketch. As it evolved I thought the design became a bit too busy so I scaled down to something that looks closer to my final design.
