I love architecture – whether it’s an office building, a hotel or a private home. Certain characteristics particularly capture my attention: the mixed use of concrete, stone, wood and glass; natural colors that blend with each other and their surroundings, and organic fluidity and abstract symmetry all coming together as one structure. A building comes to uniquely life when looked at from different angles. Complex yet balanced, and seamlessly so. I want to follow each and every line, trace simple shapes and seek out clues to find out what the architect had in mind with the design. Modern architecture may be sterile or even dull to some, but it can last a lifetime as long as the right ingredients are added to make it personal.
