Character Design for a Web Comic Series in development
Barry’s preliminary psychological evaluation describes him as slightly introverted but approachable. Barry is cooperative and concerning for his comrades’ safety. This concern extends beyond just physical harm as a result from missions. Barry becomes concerned when a fellow agent is threatened by any means, mentally, socially, or physically. When interviewed about his attitude, he says “I takes no pity in those who get hurt from goofing off” but after reviewing his attitude and actions, this is very distant from the truth. Barry is very adamant on fixing the mistakes of his teammates, regardless if they are a result of reckless entertainment. From basic evaluations we determine Barry as emotionally absent, but after deeper investigation, comparing his words and actions, it is clearer that he has some post traumatic experience that he is suppressing. This becomes even more clear when he frequents the bar. His drunken state shows him as depressed, filled with guilt and sorrow. It is during this state where we see a rare display of emotion from Barry. Full psychological evaluation has concluded that Barry suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Survivor’s Guilt. Barry is to be placed on suicide watch.
