Volcano Island Board Game

Volcano Island
This is a narrative game in which players adventure to the only available water source on an island and return to start to deliver the water needed to save the village from the lava of an erupting volcano.
For this project my role was to plan game play, design rules and work as a game designer. ​​​​​​​
Mission
Our mission was to create a game that had a clear narrative. We wanted the mechanics and dynamics of the game to truly match our story line. 

Game Play
Our game included cards, tokens and dice. Each player was able to roll the dice and move around the board according to the number rolled. If players landed on a "Pick a card" square, they had the opportunity to draw from the card deck to get buckets and travel to the water source. Once at the water source, players could then exchange their water bucket cards for water cards. Players then had to travel back to start to deliver water to the village and save them from the lava of the volcanic eruption. Tokens were used to tally how much water each player had brought back to start.

Winning 
The first player to return to start with five(5) buckets of water to save the village won.
