THE JUGENDSTIL OF MICE&MEN

Do you remember the old paper fanzine? In most cases they were photocopied sheets held together with come staple...Inside there was a world of words, a flush of musical and artistic experiences, a space where the submerged floated to the top and where most of the times emotions were able to meet the sincere desire to express oneself.
<< The Jugendstil of Mice&Men >> is a bit like one of these old fanzines, it's a sort of container of lived experiences, a space for sharing emotions.
There are no numbers on the pages and no reference is made to a specific period, but we are simply faced with the feelings you have experienced in attending a concert, being a musician or a photographer, a painter or a writer.
We all have a time and a common end goal, we have a road to travel, a mind and a spirit to nurture through an ever-young thought that needs to share itself in order to have new energy in exchange.
When I arrive at the end of the line I don't want to have only eaten cheese my entire life!
When they proposed to me to make a cover for a fanzine that was going to be printed, I could not believe it ... In these times of technology and digital media in which it is rarely invested in printing on paper ...
<<What luxury and what luck I have had!!!!>>
This fanzine, beyond being a fanzine, is an illustrated magazine and printed in full color and distributed for free with limited print runs and  the album Peaks, a new musical project by an Italian music band.
It's a part of all those who have participated with our work and especially Mr. Parker Barrow that has made it possible and Jetglow Recordings.
His name is inspired by John Steinbeck's novel "Of Mice and Men", a classic of American literature.
Fanzine cover. Original work made with acrylic and marker.
Men and mice are the simple story of two seasonal workers, George and Lennie, vagabonds among the bright stars of America, who pursue the mirage of the American dream and share the same desire for freedom.
A childhood dream, primordial, that betrays in them that hidden feeling of humanity inherent in each one of us. Although ridiculous and naive, an absurd dream is preferable to a harsh and petty reality, which does not possess at all those attributes that define life in the highest sense that can be attributed to it.
And if it is true that putting hope in crazy dreams is risky, it is also true that the most unattainable hopes become feasible when we see the night fall inexorably during the days of our existence, and make even the most cowardly men continue in that direction .
Subsequently and as a result of the design of the cover, it has been decided to stamp in limited edition some posters made in a traditional way.
Screenprinted on Fedrigoni Splendorgel 300 gr. CMYK + Gold Printed by THE MESH
MUST GIVE THANKS TO MR. PARKER BARROW, GG ROCK AND JETGLOW RECORDINGS FOR THE TRUST THEY HAVE PLACED IN ME FOR THIS PROJECT AND ANOTHER.(SPECIAL MENTION A John Steinbeck FOR HIS INSPIRATION)
WE STILL HAVE A LOT OF WORK AHEAD OF US, TO TRY TO DO THE BEST, REGARDLESS OF HOW THINGS ARE GOING.
WE ALL KNOW THAT THINGS WILL NOT EASY, BUT IT IS ALSO TRUE THAT WE LIKE WORK AND TRY  TO DO IT.
IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE!
