Project Specifications: Communicate the object, communicate the service, use only imagery, use only black and white, no grays or gradation allowed.  All symbols must be created, no use of preexisting artwork allowed.

I came up with versions for each combination set then surveyed 10 people to see if they could understand what each combination symbol represented.  For the most part they were correct and I received feedback that helped me improve each design.

Combination Symbol: object = acorn    service = airline
