In a school exercise we had the job to rebrand something in our own environment and here for I chose to rebrand one of my favorite local Döner restaurants.

To me it looked funny to choose a Döner restaurant because they're known for their bad habits in graphic design. Old and bold logo's, pixelated images in their menu's and so on, ...

First of all I've defined my clients archetype, which in my opinion was caregiver where for it was quite sure I needed a thick, though easy and soft font. This is why I created my own version of a "Rounded Futura Extra Bold" in Illustrator, to me this looked far more kind than the original one. For the logo illustration itself I chose to work with the restaurants most used ingrediënt, the Döner itself. I chose for a mostly flat designed logotype to keep a young and modern vibe and added the secondary name 'foods' in a thin family of the Futura to keep an interesting contrast.

I defined a small color guide for my client.

And made some possible other versions of the Logo.
