Romans - I wanted to show the different stages of the Roman Empire, the animals reflect the territorial limits of the empire at each stage. Left to Right: Deer/Wolf/Leopard, Eurasian Lynx/Lammergeier, Red Deer/Green Lizard, European Badger/Horseshoe Bat.
Parthian - Animal: Horse, Camel
Lustanian - Animal: I didn't want to do animals for this one, so I chose plants native to Portugal.

Gladiator - Because Gladiators were slaves or criminals taken from the Roman Empire, I reused some past designs - Zulu, Lustanian, Mamluk, and the same poor Roman that was being killed by the Frank Warrior.
