My role on this project
Editing: The studio interviews were filmed by professional staff at Duke Media Services. Using their raw footage, I edited the piece to its final form and applied Duke branding in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Interviews: I wrote the interview questions and conducted the interviews on camera. Being on location with the students ensured I captured responses that would edit together nicely and effectively support the communication goals I established for the video project.
'Out in the World': Study Away Q+A with LGBTQ+ Identifying Duke Students
The students interviewed in this video were panelists at an in-person event on campus the semester prior to filming. They agreed to be interviewed on camera as a way to extend the reach of their stories about studying abroad/away as an LGBTQ+ identifying person.
The video is part of 'Ask Away: Q+A with Duke Students about Study Away’, a series of events, videos, and resources to help students interested in study away connect with alumni of the programs.
