I was on top of this mountain, near Maratea, in the south of Italy. On my left hand there was a huge statue of Christ constructed out of white marble. The holy figure looked out over the Tyrrhenian coast, as if he blessed all the little ants over there, down below in the valley. A threatening storm approached on the right, covering everything in a deep dark.
In both works I want to show this mystical experience, which represents the feeling of invisible forces, and our own insignificance.
